Landing Collar & Seal Sub

Usually the  Landing  Collar  is  located  close  above the Float Collar or, in the case a Float Collar is not required, above the Float  Shoe.  After  detachment the Wiper Plug lands in a special aluminium seat with an integrated anti-rotating profile inside the Landing Collar. The seat provides full bore sealing to perform a pressure test after cementation and is PDC drillable.

The Landing Collar can be equipped with a shearable or non-shearable ball seat to build up pressure between the bushing and the ball seat for setting any hydraulic components.

The Landing Collar has been designed for optimal bypass flow area between open hole and casing.

Features/Benefits:

  • Receives the wiper plugs after cementation
  • Anti rotating aluminium profile for wiper plug provides easily PDC drillable
  • Latches provide mechanical safety in case of back pressure
  • Can be used with DEW port collar for two-stage cementation

The Seal Sub is a bushing construction to seal the annulus between the Liner system and the Tubing string. To provide this sealing the seal components consist of multiple o-rings or compact in chevron type packing, depending on well specifications. It is run in the shoe track of the Liner system e.g. when bottom hole circulation with a slotted inner string is required.

Features/Benefits:

  • Protects the tool in run in hole operation
  • To be run with inner string and screen or slotted liner to provide circulation at the bottom hole PDC drillable elements
