The Polished Bore Receptacle (PBR) features a honed inner surface with high finish and low roughness parameters to ensure optimal sealing properties for tie back operations. In order for these properties to be kept during the running procedure, despite varying movement mechanisms, the PBR length can be adjusted.

In spite of limitations by the use of strict tolerances the design provides a defined wall thickness which guarantees ideal burst and collapse ratings. Furthermore a chamfer is available on the top end of the PBR in order to assist easy entry of different running components.
